Equine Assisted Learning
Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) offers a space for horses and people to connect within a safe environment. At Equus Auri, Lara provides EAL through the IFEEL Method of Equine Facilitated Human Development (EFHD). This is a somatic learning practice, combining evidence-based human development frameworks, within a systematic methodology for Human Equine Interactions. Deeply embedded in this method is safe practice for clients, equines and practitioners.
Our EFHD program may involve both active and reflective sessions and can assist with navigating day-to day emotional change, support aspects of human wellness and guide self-development.
In particular we offer guidance with:
Lifestyle Changes
Perhaps retirement, changing jobs or moving house is on the horizon, or maybe you are experiencing a troubling shift in health circumstances- unsettling feelings often surround change. EAL can help you connect more effectively and positively with your emotions in times of new situations.
Well-being
The horses draw us toward the present moment – this is how they live. Equus Auri may be the place for you to seek greater spiritual connection with nature and who you are. To be with horses can be calming and give time to explore care of self, physically and mentally.
Regulation and co-sentience
A horse has the ability to stretch the mind to notice speaking without words. We offer guidance in self-regulation and sentience awareness skills and bring them into context for human interpersonal connections. These skills are also of relevance if you work with or care for animals, animals can be hugely affected by our non-verbal signals.
